Life Is Not a Movie:
The myths of media

About Me

Some stories don’t end with a dramatic closing scene. Some love doesn’t get returned. Some lives are quiet, ordinary, and still deeply meaningful — even if no one is filming them. I am a feature and commentary journalist who loves to write and believes deeply in the power of storytelling. I am drawn to the gap between the stories media tells us and the lives we actually live. From the romanticized myths of love and loss to the unspoken pressure to make life look extraordinary, I believe the most important stories are the ones that quietly whisper: you are not failing reality, reality was just misrepresented to you. My name is Faith Christensen, and this project is my attempt to tell those stories.
